“THAT MEN MIGHT LIVE”, the Annual Rev. Charles R. Williams Prostate Cancer Awareness Run/Walk will be held this September during National Prostate Cancer Awareness Month.
Save the Date! On Saturday, September 18, 2016, friends and supporters of the Rev. Charles Williams Prostate Cancer Mobile Unit and Hoosiers who stand in belief that prostate cancer should end, will gather in Indianapolis, Indiana at Fort Harrison State Park to put a foot down in the right direction of prevention, early detection, education and treatment of the disease.
Previously known as “Running For the Boys”, this 5K Run/Walk returns to raise funds for the mobile unit and to bring awareness to a disease that affects thousands of men and impacts their families across Indiana. Fort Harrison is located at 6000 North Post Road, less than 10 minutes from downtown Indianapolis.
“The Rev. Charles Williams Prostate Cancer Mobile Unit plays a significant role in the health and wellness of men across the state of Indiana,” said Kathy Jordan, an organizer of the “That Men Might Live” event and sister of the late-Rev. Charles Williams for whom the mobile unit is named. “This mobile unit provides a unique service partnering with various entities to provide critical early detection and other services for prostate cancer to get all men into treatment and care earlier with a critical focus on minority.
